Come along to the event being held at all Saints Square on Friday 28th November.
Welcome Change is pleased to be part of Shard End Communities Group, and we are looking forward to the turning on of the Christmas lights. There will be lots to do for the family with Christmas stalls and the live Reindeers are back again this year.
Sunday lunches are now available from Welcome Change Cafe.
Avoid going to all the trouble yourself, and pop in between 12 and 2.30pm on Sunday’s from 16th November 2014.
The yorkshire puddings are wonderful and it’s a great dinner at just £4.95 per person. Starters and puddings are also available of course and all hand made on the day by our Chef Mark Allen.
We have been very lucky in recent months to have had the support of ALCOA in the Community. Not only have they funded an amazing OCN accredited, back to work programme for us to deliver, but in addition to that they chose Welcome Change CIC as one of their community projects.
We were amazed on 17th October 2014, at what their volunteers managed to do in just one day. A children’s play area, raised beds and new bike lock area were all in place by the time the day was over.
The support from ALCOA has been overwhelming so a big HUGE thanks!
We were delighted to celebrate the work of our volunteers with our partners on Friday 10th October 2014.
Welcome Change CIC, Changes UK and Aquarius all got together to put on a celebratory dinner and awards ceremony. Between the three agencies we had in excess of 40 volunteers in attendance. All present were served canapes on arrival and a wonderful dinner cooked by our chef Mark Allen.
It was a wonderful evening and we will definitely do it again next year. We could not deliver the services without the invaluable help of our volunteers, so thanks to you all.
Congratulations to the team for organising an amazing sell out event. The 1940’s Tea Party held on Wednesday 8th October was a great success. We couldn’t have squeezed anymore people in the Hall if we had tried.
There was music dancing and nostalgia with war time songs. Roll on 2015 when we hope to put on regular events, we have certainly been asked when the next one might be!!
On Saturday 28th June we are taking the special sales outside. There will be fun for the family, sales and also a chance to find out more about your local voluntary and community sector organisations.
Come and try out the delicious new food and remember to pick up your loyalty card for our wonderful fresh coffee.
