Glebe Farm Hub

More Than a Library

Thanks to support from the National Lottery Community Fund, Welcome Change is working with the Birmingham City Council libraries operating a community and wellbeing hub at the Glebe Farm Library, making it More Than a Library.

The library is open as usual on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays delivering the library service as expected, but on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays Welcome Change runs the hub offering a range of events and activities for the benefit of the Glebe Farm community.

These include:

  • Tea, Coffee and Cake Morning – Every Monday morning between 10am – 12pm you can enjoy our free tea, coffee and cake and have a chat with people in your local Community!

  • Birmingham Mind – mental health drop in – Every Thursday from 10am – 3pm Birmingham Mind offer a FREE Adult wellbeing session aimed at improving your mental wellbeing and allowing you to get advice from professionals.

  • Monthly Local history group –  Would you like to learn more about local history? The first Tuesday of every Month we have our history group. Featuring guest speakers! only £2.50 per session!

  • Glebe Farm Community Fridge –  The aim of our Community Fridge is to stop good food going to waste! Every Tuesday from 12pm – 2pm you can purchase a box of food worth £15 for £4! Its a £1 annual fee to join the club.
